Skills Needed:

  • Sales & Fundraising – experience in sales, marketing, fundraising and/or related field is required, with any non-profit/economic development experience beneficial
  • Relationship Management – Demonstrated ability in developing and managing partnerships and engagement programs with public, private, and non-profit entities
  • Team Oriented – Collaborative and flexible, with ability and willingness to support, lead, and implement programs as part of a lean, high-functioning, supportive, and entrepreneurial team
  • Communications – Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, dealing with complex issues
  • Professionalism – Must be able to represent the SEDP professionally in manner and appearance at all times

Job Description

SEDP is looking to expand our efforts to serve the community by hiring for the newly created position of Investor Relations Manager. This individual will have responsibility to engage with our public, private and non-profit stakeholders, identifying opportunities to create value for them and secure their financial support to maintain and grow our business operations.

Primary duties will include:

  • Building relationships with all current SEDP investors, informing them about our activities and also learning about their needs and working to deliver appropriate services/resource connections
  • Ensuring these investors maintain financial support and pursuing and securing opportunities for investment increases
  • Identifying and securing new investors that would benefit from engagement with the SEDP
  • Developing and implementing a communications strategy for outreach to these parties (meetings, events, media, etc.)
  • Documenting all activity utilizing our Microsoft Office and Salesforce systems
  • Engaging in other programmatic activities of the SEDP as capacity allows
