SEDP Holds Annual Meeting, Announces Capital Campaign Successful Completion

The SEDP recently held its 2013 Annual Meeting at the Baker College Welcome Center. Highlights included: 1) The successful completion of a five-year (2008-2012) program of work in business attraction, retention and expansion which resulted in:

$40,000,000+ in New Annual Payroll

$95,000,000+ in New Capital Investment

1,000,000+ Sq Ft of Building Space Filled/Occupied

2) A strategic planning session was conducted in the spring of 2012 to set a new course of action for 2013 and beyond, with new initiatives that will greatly expand our offerings to existing businesses, and undertake new marketing initiatives exposing Shiawassee County on a national and global scale as a great business destination. 3) Completion of another capital campaign, with 98% of current investors renewing their financial support, 53 new organizations joining our investor team, and increasing our annual revenues to $300,000 which represents a 25% increase in resources to help create jobs in our community.
