SEDP Holds Annual Meeting, Hears Comments From MEDC CEO Quentin Messer

On July 20^th, the Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership at the Memorial Healthcare NOW Building’s Educational Theater. The program kicked off with an introduction to the host facility by Memorial Healthcare CEO Brian Long. At the conclusion of his comments, SEDP Chair Bryan Marks made the surprise announcement the host facility was also the recipient of this year’s Project of the Year Award, sponsored by Consumers Energy.

Additional comments from Chair Marks highlighted SEDP’s successful projects over the last year. SEDP President/CEO Justin Horvath provided additional comments highlighting where the organization will be focusing in the year to come.

The event was capped with a keynote address by the CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Quentin Messer. Mr. Messer’s comments addressed the MEDC’s goals for the state, and current trends in economic development.
