Shiawassee County Child Care Tri-Share Hub Announces First Partner Company in Spartan Fence; Still Seeking Local Employers to Participate May 19, 2022 The Shiawassee County Childcare Tri-Share Hub has secured its first employer partner in Perry Township based Spartan Fence. The program seeks to address the challenges of childcare availability for area workers by splitting the costs between the employer, employee, and grant funds. The Shiawassee County hub is a partnership between the Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership (SEDP) and the Shiawassee Regional Education Service District (SRESD) and is funded by the State of Michigan, with additional local support from the Cook Family Foundation. “We are excited to have Spartan Fence on board with this exciting program. This is a great opportunity for companies to set themselves apart as employers of choice in the community, and addressing a major barrier to employment,” said Justin Horvath, President/CEO of SEDP. Enrollment is still open for employers to become part of the Tri-Share program. They will need to contribute $2 per childcare hour for each of their participating employees, with $2 per childcare hour also contributed by the employee and the Tri-Share Hub. Payments will be coordinated through the SRESD to any state licensed childcare provider who opts to work with the Tri-Share. Interested organizations can begin the process by completing a brief survey located found at here. The program is funded through 2022.
