Owosso, MI —The Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership (SEDP) announced Ventek Solutions as the recipient of SEDP’s Project of the Year award. The award, sponsored by ITC Holdings, was presented at the SEDP Annual Meeting at the Baker College Welcome Center in Owosso on February 25th, 2026.

The Project of the Year serves to recognize a new or expanding business in Shiawassee County that creates a significant positive impact on the local economy. Ventek Solutions made investments in their facility and equipment in 2025, with efficiency improvements that resulted in a $746,937 rebate from Consumers Energy.

“For us, this incentive represents more than just a monetary win, it powerfully demonstrates that operational efficiency and environmental responsibility go hand-in-hand. Every reduction in our energy footprint is a crucial step in our commitment to decarbonization and sustainable manufacturing,” the company said in a statement.

“Ventek Solutions’ investment in their Owosso facility reflects the kind of growth that strengthens Shiawassee County’s economy,” said Justin Horvath, President/CEO, Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership. “We’re proud to help facilitate impactful projects like this one and to recognize Ventek Solutions with our Project of the Year award.”
