SEDP Quarterly Investor Update at Steam Railroading Insitute

The Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership (SEDP) will be hosting our Quarterly Investor Update meeting at the Steam Railroading Institute (SRI) at 405 South Washington Street in Owosso. It will feature an opportunity to network with your fellow SEDP stakeholders and a presentation on SEDP’s activities.

The Steam Railroading Institute will bring over 16,000 visitors to Shiawassee County in the next two months for their annual North Pole Express trains to the Village of Ashley.  We will have a short presentation about the history of SRI and Pere Marquette 1225’s involvement with “The Polar Express” movie 20 years ago.  The Institute will also be preparing for a steam excursion between Mt Pleasant and Cadillac the weekend following our event, so expect to see some railroad activity during our tour after the Investor Update.
