Responsibilities include: Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and engine performance issues Inspecting and repairing diesel engines used in commercial trucks Disassembling engines to identify worn or damaged components Rebuilding diesel engines and replacing defective parts Repairing or replacing pistons, bearings, gears, valves, bushings, and related engine components Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections Using precision measuring instruments and specialized diagnostic equipment Operating machine tools, engine lathes, and boring equipment Welding and cutting components using arc welding and flame cutting equipment when required Completing repair documentation accurately Ensuring all repairs meet DOT regulations and company safety standards Working independently and as part of a professional maintenance team This is a hands-on diesel mechanic position supporting a modern commercial trucking fleet in a fast-paced transportation environment.
