Senior Accountant / Controller Posted September 29, 2026 Great Lakes Family of Companies Website Location: Durand Full Time Position Job Description Great Lakes Family of Companies is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Accountant / Controller to join our growing team. This position will play an important role in the financial operations of our group of privately held companies. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working across multiple businesses, understands the numbers, and isn't afraid to be hands-on with the day-to-day accounting. Responsibilities include: Prepare and review financial statements, P&Ls and balance sheets Manage banking, cash flow and ACH transactions Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes Gather and prepare information for outside tax consultants Support and oversee accounting team members Assist ownership and management with financial reporting, job costing and bidding Help improve accounting procedures, controls and processes What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with strong accounting experience who is organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of their work. Experience with multi-company accounting and QuickBooks is strongly preferred. Construction, manufacturing, or related industry experience is a plus. A degree in accounting or finance is preferred, but we will consider significant relevant experience in place of a degree.
